Sustainability at Molto Luce

6% of global CO₂ emissions are caused by lighting. This is a little-known fact, as is the fact that the average European generates around 17.6 kg of electronic waste each year. That is why we see it as our responsibility to ensure that sustainability and lighting solutions go hand in hand. Our goal is clear: to design and manufacture energy-efficient, CO₂-saving and flexible lighting solutions.

That is why we launched our People.Power.Planet programme, which we continuously develop further for the benefit of our customers.

The Three-Pillar Principle

Sustainability is based on three pillars: environmental, social and corporate governance. This is more commonly known as ESG, the abbreviation for Environmental, Social and Governance. Each pillar must be addressed to enable the concept to be implemented effectively on a large scale.

  • Employer of Choice
  • Occupational Health and Safety
  • Career Development and Equal Opportunities
  • Product Safety and Innovation
  • Supplier Management
  • Compliance
  • Risk Management
  • Material Requirements
  • Energy Requirements
  • Climate Impact

ESG = PEOPLE.POWER.PLANET.

We translate the principles of Environmental, Social and Governance into our People.Power.Planet sustainability programme. In doing so, we address the three pillars of sustainability: people, the environment and economic strength. These form the innermost circle of our model, which we call People, Power, Planet. Each pillar has its own principles and objectives, illustrated in the second circle. These are achieved through specific measures shown in the outermost circle.

Sustainability begins with transparency

To make the environmental impact of our luminaires transparent and easy to understand, Molto Luce prepares product-specific Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). These are based on a detailed Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) that considers every stage of a product’s life cycle – from raw material extraction and manufacturing to use and end-of-life. The resulting EPDs provide transparent, comparable environmental performance data and deliver valuable insights that we use to continuously improve the sustainability of our products. LOG50 is the first product family, MOVA will follow, with additional product families being added step by step.

Our goals by the end of 2026
