Now, we all know that noise isn’t pleasant. By noise, we mean sound that serves no purpose and is unnecessarily loud. In some circumstances, it could even be disruptive. Sound absorbers are materials that absorb sound and convert it into other forms of energy. This can actively reduce unwanted noise and significantly improve the acoustics in a room.
Sound absorbers reduce noise pollution
Acoustic lighting elements made from thermally bonded non-woven fabric make for effective sound absorbers. They reduce noise pollution with their diffusely reflective surface that’s as large as possible. Sound is able to enter the porous material, but it is converted into thermal energy there. This means that not all of the sound is reflected back into the room. It’s a bit like the material is swallowing the sound.

It has been proven that reducing noise pollution improves people’s well-being, concentration and ability to perform at their best. And stress levels drop too. Acoustics are more important than ever in auditoriums, theatres, conference rooms, lecture halls, classrooms and office spaces.
Recycled raw materials
Using resources sustainably is a priority for us when we’re developing our products. That’s why we are efficient in our use of resources in the production processes for our acoustic lighting elements, which are made from recycled materials. The thermally bonded non-woven fabrics we use are made largely from recycled PET bottles.
